what if choosing joy is the most radical thing you can do?

Not by turning away from the grief and anger about our world burning, but by letting yourself be held by something larger than you.

Letters from the Path is an online spiritual community for people committed to justice and liberation who are ready to live and work from joy and Spirit, not sacrifice and exhaustion.

Doors open to new members in early 2027.

if you’ve been cycling through exhaustion, guilt, rage, and hopelessness, over and over…

(and your body is telling you it can’t keep going like this)

you can choose to walk a different path

you were never meant to carry
the weight of a burning world all on your shoulders

you've been sold a false choice

Keep going until you burn out, or step back and feel guilty for looking away while the world burns.

So you swing between the two, over and over. Doomscrolling until 1am, then shutting it all off because you can't take any more. Feeling guilty when you rest, because it seems selfish. Doing everything you can, and still feeling like it's not enough. Getting more worn down by the infighting than by the fight. Running on fumes as your body falls apart.

If this is you, nothing is wrong with you. And the answer isn't to do more or to do less.

Here's what almost none of us who care about justice realize: the problem is a story about the world that we inherited and absorbed, without ever knowing it was there.

The poet Audre Lorde warned that the master's tools will never dismantle the master's house. In other words, we can't undo systems of oppression using the same methods and logic that created them.

But the master's deepest tool isn't a law, institution, or prison - it's a cosmology.

A cosmology is the big story we're given about what the world is and how it works. The one we inherited says the world is a machine made of dead parts.

In this story, the land is a resource to extract, your body is a tool you exploit, and Spirit is superstition for the weak.

Nothing is sacred. You are entirely alone, so every crisis is yours to fix.

No wonder you're exhausted. You've been trying to save a world you were taught is dead, all by yourself.

This is what oppression took from us. We've lived inside the machine so long, we've forgotten any other way to exist.

But your soul remembers that the world is alive, and that you were never alone. It’s waiting for you to remember too.

I created Letters from the Path to support you on this path of remembering this truth and living from it.

is Letters from the Path right for you?

this may be for you if:

  • You care deeply about justice and liberation so you keep trying to give from an empty cup

  • You’re carrying the weight of the world burning and don’t know where to put it

  • You’ve wondered if there’s more to this than strategy and sheer willpower alone

  • You want to keep showing up for justice and liberation, without burning yourself to the ground

  • You’re craving a way of living that fills you up, rather than just adds more tasks on your to-do list

this probably isn’t for you if:

  • You want someone to hand you all the answers or tell you what you should believe

  • You’re looking for a structured course with rigid steps to follow and guaranteed results

  • You want a quick fix so you can get right back to grinding with greater ease

  • You’d rather float above the pain of the world than learn how to move through it with care

  • You’re not open to wondering whether the world might actually be alive and sacred.

the one thing I ask of everyone who joins

That you be at least curious and willing to explore the possibility that Spirit is universal love and all of life is sacred.

what’s waiting for you inside:

Letters from the Path is the doorway into Kindred Village, our online community of people committed to justice and liberation who want to live Spirit-led in a world on fire.

Together, we’re learning to offer our unique gifts and medicine with joy, and to turn these times of burning into times of possibility, for the liberation of all beings.

This isn’t another course — nothing to fall behind on, no pressure, no guilt. Just a gentle monthly rhythm you can lean into whenever you need it:

hi, I’m sandra

I know what it’s like to feel trapped between burning out and looking away, because I lived it.

I used to be the rock for my people, sure that if I didn’t do something, no one would. It felt like I only had two choices: ignore my own needs and keep going, or step back and let people get hurt. So I kept pushing forward on my own, until I hit a wall.

That burnout started a twenty-year healing journey. As I let go of old trauma and the oppression I’d internalized, I began to hear my ancestors, the land, and Spirit more clearly. I realized I’d never been alone. That changed everything.

Spirit kept asking me to let go of the ways I’d learned to survive, sometimes by letting my life fall apart and jumping into the unknown. It was terrifying at first. But every time I jumped, Spirit caught me. Slowly, fear turned into embodied trust.

Living this way led me to start Everyday Feminism, which reached millions of people, create courses that helped thousands heal from internalized oppression, and hold spiritual space for activists and organizers at WildSeed Society.

Across all of it, I’ve seen the same thing again and again: when people reconnect with Spirit, they don’t burn out. They come alive.

This path brought joy back into my life: the joy of living in an enchanted world, and of accepting the unique medicine I’m called to offer my community in these times. I still grieve for our burning world, but now I can show up with joy, hope, and purpose, giving from a full cup instead of an empty one.

Today, I’m a movement chaplain, an initiated Korean shamanic priestess, and a spiritual doula. I serve as a walking temple, where people can learn to take refuge in themselves, in each other, and in the sacred web of ancestors, land., and Spirit that holds us all.

Letters from the Path is my offering so you can walk this path with purpose and not panic, and with more understanding, ease, and support than I had. It’s not a blueprint to copy. It’s a way of living to explore and make your own.
